A digital time capsule, in an envelope
On SealedIn, a message for the future is called an envelope. It can hold a letter, photos and videos, all sealed together. You choose who it's for and the moment it opens. Until then, it waits.
How it works
Write it.
Type a letter, upload photos and videos, or record a video straight in your browser.
Choose who and when.
Add one person or several. Pick the date and the minute it should arrive.
Seal it.
It stays sealed until then. On the day, each person gets an email to open it.
Occasions
What people seal for later
A few of the moments SealedIn is made for.
- For your children
A letter for their 18th, written while they're small.
- Baby time capsule
Messages for their first birthday, and far beyond.
- Weddings and anniversaries
Words for your first anniversary, or your tenth.
- Your future self
A letter to the person you'll be in a year.
- Birthdays and milestones
Arriving at 7am on the morning of the day.
- Video messages
Your face and your voice, for later.
Made for moments, not reminders
The minute you choose.
Not just the day. Set it for 7am on their birthday or midnight on New Year's Eve.
One envelope, several people.
Send the same envelope to the whole family. Each person opens it with their own email address.
A gentle heads-up, if you want one.
Tell them now that something is waiting, with a countdown to the day. Or keep it a surprise.
Record in your browser.
No app to download. Record a video on your computer, or upload one you've already made.

What it costs
Free to write, free to send.
Write, seal and send envelopes for free, to as many people as you like, up to 3 years ahead.
If you want to send something bigger, or seal it for longer — an 18th birthday, a silver anniversary — make it a Premium envelope for a one-off £4.99. No subscription.
Questions people ask first
Is it really free?
Yes. Free envelopes cost nothing to write, seal or send, to any number of people. You only pay if you want a Premium envelope, for more space or a date more than 3 years away.
Will it arrive on time?
It's set for the minute you choose, and we aim to deliver within a minute. In our own test on 16 October 2026, an envelope arrived 31 seconds after its time. Email providers can sometimes add a short delay of their own.
What will the person receiving it need to do?
They'll get an email from SealedIn with a button to open it. We email them a one-time code to check it's them, and the envelope opens. They don't need an account, and it costs them nothing.
Say it now. Let it arrive later.
It's free to write, seal and send.
